Is there anything I need to do before you have my hot tub moved?

The hot tub must be drained before it can be moved. For a small fee, we can drain the hot tub for you, or you can choose to do it yourself.
Site preparation and clear pathway for the hot tub needs to be prepared prior to
The Spa Mover's arrival. This includes having a level surface, trees trimmed back, and patio furniture removed.

The hot tub is in my backyard and I have a fence, what can I do?

Having a fence poses no problem. You must first measure the width of your gate and compare that to the height of your hot tub. We prefer to bring the hot tub through the gate with the hot tub standing upright. If this is not possible, an equal section of fence needs to be removed.

How tough is it to maintain a hot tub?

It's not. Once a week, using test strips or a test kit, check the sanitizer level and
pH level in your spa. This is a 2 minutes process. Then make the necessary adjustments. If the pH is low, add
pH Increaser; if the pH is high, add
pH Decreaser. If the chlorine level is low, add more and if it's high, open the cover and let some of it burn off.

What sort of electrical requirements do I need?

Always check with a
Certified Licensed Electrician. For most spas, the required wire is 6 gauge 3 wire with a ground and a 50 amp GFCI breaker is needed to run a two pump system. For a one pump unit, you'll need an 8 gauge 3 wire with ground and a 40 amp GFCI breaker. The technical term is '6 gauge 4 wire' and '8 gauge 4 wire'.

How much does it cost to operate a hot tub monthly?

There are a lot of variables that determine monthly operating costs. Some of these variables include climate, how often the spa is used, filtration cycles, cost per kilowatt hour in the area, is it a 110v or 220v system and whether or not the spa is foam filled or recovers the waste heat off of the motors. As you can see there are many factors in determining your monthly costs. Most spas cost about a dollar a day which is pretty reasonable considering the benefits. A dollar a day is usually based on using the spa 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week in a cold climate.
